Getting well and staying well doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does require your willingness to do your part. Chait Chiropractic Center specializes in Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP). CBP is a technique that can correct and change abnormal posture towards a normal state. The goals of CBP correction are to reduce abnormal posture that may cause compressive force on the vertebra, discs and the nervous system. If the abnormal posture is not corrected it may result in age related diseases such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, deformed ligaments, muscle spasm and disc decay.
There are three phases of chiropractic care . . .
Phase 1: Relief care ~ Many of patients come into our office because they are experiencing pain and symptoms. Our first goal at Chait Chiropractic Center is to help reduce your pain and symptoms so you can start feeling better as soon as possible. Dr. Chait may take x-rays of the offending area in order to help determine the underlying cause. Depending on the severity of the condition, it is typical for a patient to need “relief” chiropractic care in the form of adjustments, exercises and therapies for this initial phase of treatment.
Phase 2: Corrective Care ~ During the corrective phase of chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury or pain. The goal of a corrective chiropractic care plan is to help bring your body back to as close to 100% functioning as possible. We accomplish this treatment in the form of adjustments, exercises and corrective traction. At the end of this phase, a postural x-ray may be taken to compare it to the initial x-ray.
Phase 3: Wellness Care ~ Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. This is also called maintenance or preventative care. This phase of chiropractic care concentrates on holding and maintaining the postural correction that was performed in Phase 2.
