Relief Care vs. Wellness Care

The majority of our patients consult us because they are suffering and are in pain. Our main goal at Chait Chiropractic Center is to reduce your pain and symptoms. After a thorough examination and x-rays if needed, we present a personalized care plan designed to give you the best results in the shortest amount of time. Visits are frequent during this period of intensive care; sometimes requiring daily visits or two to three visits per week for a time. Each visit builds on the ones before, so keep your appointments to get the best results.

Wellness care is designed to maintain your improved health and spinal function as well as preventing the return of the original condition. Regular wellness adjustments will catch small problems before they become serious or chronic. Prevention saves time and money by helping you stay well.

Today more and more of us are interested in a higher level of health called wellness. Beyond merely feeling better or preventing health problems, we want to fully enjoy life by being our very best mentally, physically and socially. Your health affects everything you do and everyone you know. With so many people depending on you, it makes sense to invest in your health. A program of chiropractic wellness visits can help you be the caring parent, loving spouse, understanding friend and dependable worker you want to be. Call us today at 941-371-1070 to schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. John Chait.

Invest in your health.......You Are Worth It!

How Long Does Chiropractic Take?

It surprises many people to learn that doctors don't heal the human body through medications.  Physicians can't mend a broken bone, form scar tissue or heal a cut.  Only your body can do that!  Our body possesses an enormous and persistent capacity to heal itself. How amazing is that?

The chiropractic approach is to reduce nerve interference that affects your bodies ability to heal.  The bodies healing is directed electrically by your nervous system that runs through your spinal column.  This is called the central nervous system and it is a chiropractors anatomical focus to help assist the bodies healing process.

How long will it take? It depends, because all cases are different.  Children often see results quickly.  Adults and the elderly with long-standing problems can take a longer period of time. Your care schedule is based on the results that millions have enjoyed using the Chiropractic Bio-Physics protocol (CBP).  Our treatment is designed to produce the best results in the shortest amount of time. This is why it is important to keep your appointments.

Call Chait Chiropractic Center today at 941-371-1070 to schedule a complimentary consultation and posture analysis with Dr. John Chait.  Dr. Chait would be happy to explain how CBP works and answer any of your questions.  Remember the five most dangerous words:  Maybe It Will Go Away!

The only one responsible for your health is looking at you in the mirror.

How Much Does Your Head Weigh?!!

human head weighs around 10-11 pounds on average. When you have correct posture, your head doesn't feel like it weighs much at all because it is perfectly balanced and positioned. When Forward Head Posture begins to develop and your head begins to move forward away from its ideal postural position, the weight of your head begins to increase. For every inch the head moves forward of the shoulders, the weight of the head doubles due to the effects of gravity. This means that there are some individuals are walking around with a head that weighs between 50 to 75 lbs.! Long term Forward Head Posture (FHP) can cause all sorts of problem such as migraines and headaches, neck and shoulder pain, TMJ dysfunction, lower/middle/upper back pain, disc degeneration and numbness or tingling in the arms and/or hands.

Some causes of the Forward Head Posture are:

Backpacks: Children are now using backpacks to carry school books weighing up to an alarming 30-40 lbs.! This forces the head forward to counter-balance the weight resulting in abnormal stress to the discs, joints and nerves of the neck, shoulders and lower back.

Computer Ergonomics: Positioning computer screens too low, coupled with the repetitive motion of moving the head forward to read the screen is a primary factor in FHP.

Video games/TV: Most kids use poor posture when playing video games and watching TV. Repetitively sitting in one position for long periods of time causes the body to adapt to this bad posture.

Trauma: Falls and trauma can cause whiplash resulting in muscle imbalance. This pulls the spine out of alignment forcing the head forward.

Monitoring good posture is essential for optimum health. Dr. Chait has been helping people correct and/or prevent Forward Head Posture for almost 30 years here in Sarasota. With a personalized treatment plan you can be assured a future of doing things you love to do rather than suffering from damage and degeneration that poor posture can cause.  Call Chait Chiropractic Center at 941-371-1070 to schedule a complimentary posture analysis today
